COVID -19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
COVID 19 INFORMATION - UPDATED 05/01/21
Following the instructions from the UK Government for auction houses operating under the National lockdown
from 6th January 2021 please note the following:
Heaton Mersey premises
From the close of business on Tuesday 5th January 2021, the premises are strictly closed to any member of the public.
NO ACCESS WILL BE GRANTED.
All auctions can be accessed online and will proceed on a ‘click & collect’ basis - however, we will continue accept commission bids and telephone bids. There will be no pre-sale viewing in person, only via images on the website; we will continue to provide condition reports and further images as requested.
Please see the calendar showing changes we have made to the auction dates for the remainder of the year.
The Lytham office will be closed for the duration of the lockdown. Telephone and email messages will not be monitored. Please contact the main office with any queries – 0161 432 1911.
From 5th January 2021 purchased lots can be collected using our pre-booking system. Please phone the office to arrange a convenient date and time, 0161 432 1911 or email on email@example.com. Goods will be handed over on a no-contact basis in the car park to the rear of the building – if the lot is large and/or heavy, ensure you have adequate help with you for loading into your vehicle. Also, there will be no packaging available so make sure you bring your own materials. On arrival in the car park, phone the office number to inform us of your arrival. These restrictions are relevant to couriers, ensure that you advise your chosen agent of our procedures.
All invoices will need to be settled prior to arrival as there shall be no facility to pay at the saleroom. Invoices can be settled via bank transfer or over the telephone with a UK registered debit card for transactions up to £500.
Until the lockdown is officially lifted, valuation days have been cancelled. You are welcome to submit images to our email address – firstname.lastname@example.org for an initial appraisal. If suitable for a future auction, we can arrange a time to drop the items off when restrictions are lifted, although we may need to revise estimates once the item is seen in person. For some items, especially jewellery, provisional estimates from images are not always possible; please phone the office to speak directly to a valuer.

To keep contact to a minimum, please pack as much as possible in advance – noting the item numbers on each box.
